About Lay Networks

Who We Are
Lay Networks is a non-profit educational website/organization dedicated to providing free online computer science tutorials and solutions to the queries of the students. Lay Networks functions like a democracy system for students. It is “Of the students, By the students and for the students.”

Our Mission
Laynetworks is providing and will provide quality computer science materials to the world and will be the one stop junction for all your computer science queries. This has been and it would accomplish through the contributions by the students and professionals of this field. The aim is to be a one of the largest free computer science resource on the Internet.

History
Lay Networks was formed in early 2000 out of the realization that students of Indira Gandhi National Open University in India does not have sufficient computer science material to refer or to take an advice from. The website was a brainchild of Kartik Shah, then student of IGNOU for MS course in computer science. Initially the website was started to provide genuinely free IT services to the world. At that time there were three other students (i.e Paavan Solanki, Pragnesh Patel and Ullas Marar) of diverse field joined hand with Kartik Shah and offered their services to the world free of cost. After about a year of operation the site/organization have started receiving tremendous support and appreciations from computer science students and professionals all around the world. And slowly it was shifted totally to computer science tutorials and offered help to students.

Lay Networks is an Ahmedabad, India based independent, nonprofit organization. It is an international educational and informational website/organization designed to achieve computer science education materials. It is operational with the help of the volunteers, sponsors and contributors.
